When I rode RB years ago thet did not charge it was free to everyone! We go stop once while we were riding and he asked where we were from we said KY, and he said dont you people in KY have anywhere to ride there, we are going to do something about people fron out of state coing here to ride. That is why I will not pay that much to ride when Harlan is free, and part of Pickett State park in Tenn. and it goes into KY and Tenn. alot of riding it is free.
I think its all a matter of time and we will have to pay to ride everywhere..... when people see ways to make money things usually change. All I know to do is go to the places we enjoy the most... places that are cheaper permit costs...ride them, enjoy them and be willing to try out new places and be willing to go other places... lots of times the good stuff comes to an end...having other riding options is always good.
