That is also what I have heard and kids under 12 or 13 do not need a permit either... so that frees me up a little bit on my girl... Some may think thats still not good but other places, i.e. Windrock, charge $80 a year for her to be on the property whether she rides, camps or picks her nose.

For me to buy a out of state permit for RB< SUN. and the part of Bstone... will only be $31 more dollars then what I already have to spend to buy 2 WR permits.

Thats an expensive nose pickin! haha

I talked to some friends of ours that are locals there this afternoon and they said they are involved with the state trying to get them to come up with a riding permit by its self instead of an out of state hunting license.

Also the they said that the $191 is PER PERSON! which makes sense because since it is a hunting license they are per person as well, which may make me want to start checking out Windrock, have never been there before at all but is alot cheaper for someone who only gets a chance to get down there just a few times per year, hate to see Brimstone go like this!

Evarts KY is alright and is free, they are about to add on 30,000 acres there hopefully pretty soon, but hope TN will lowewr the rates on us soon too though, love to ride there and the people there.

This is just my opinion and I may get shot for it or jumped cause of it but if u like Brimstone and are planning on going to WR...but better enjoy gravel roads and the beautiful sites of gas wells along those gravel roads. As far as trails Brimstone offers the best trails by far cause they arent rode to death like the ones at WR. While u are riding those gravel roads the Trail Patrol would be happy to let u know if u are going over the 15mph speed limit. Also might want to invest in a GPS or a guide to show u around cause signs disappear like cookies in a cookie jar there and folks can get lost pretty easily if they dont pay attention.
Dont forget u can buy a daily permit a whole lot cheaper then a yearly.... yeah if u are going to ride more then 5 times through the year then I could see it.

Gas keeps going up Im just going to have to go out and sit on my atv and make motor sounds with my mouth...cause between permits and gas prices thats all Im going to be able to afford to do. lol

New meaning to Pickin and grinnin!  Cheesy

Thanks for the input there, I don't like the sound of a bunch of gravel roads, I can do that here at home, hopefully they can get the prices down some on the out of state folks cause Brimstone is our most favorite out of everywhere we've been.
If thats the case then hows the rest of the riding on TWRA?

I have rode on both Sundquidst(sp) and Royal Blue and both are good trails to ride. The problem I have is I havent ridden them enough to memorize the trails and do not have a GPS. I was fortunate to be guided a month or so ago by a guy that knew the RB area well and he would tell us the name of the trails and where it goes etc and that helps me remember it to see it and hear what its called. Looking at the trail info/ question section u pay attention and know your trails too. Makes the rides a lot more fun when u know where u are at and where u are going instead of backtracking so much or sitting reading a map. Typically people that guide or know the area are usually happy to guide or help people find their way around... every now and then u got a few that wanna keep it all to themselves and not be helpful.  Roll Eyes

That sounds pretty good then hopefully they will get the out off state permits lowered some, I'll just go that route and ride evrything, I have a GPS mounted in my rhino, is there maps of all of TWRA, I've only found one or two and its just parts of it, and can you ride to all of it as in is it all together pretty much as far as the trails?

Just looking at map from TWRA website and comparing to Brimstones map.  Looks like they got everything basically from trail 7 South and all the 20's.  left the monster pond tho, but will be hard to get to without running a couple miles of brimestone road from trail 4.  Wow Chopped my ride by way over half!
later got to go cry

Somebody is going to have to show me more trails on that side... I konw T44, 43, 10 but need to find out how to get back on the other side of the pavement and ride some over there. Everybody gets a little pissy when we take the paved road but at least it gets us back.  Roll Eyes I would prefer to stay off that paved road too but sometimes it cant be helped.

I heard they have reworked the rutted out part of T30... I need to go back down there adn check it out again... what some may think is fine I have a difference of opinion. LOL

Anybody wearing orange yet up there? I had my orange with me last weekend but didnt really want to be the only one wearing it and being the target! LOL  Shocked

High powered rifle opens this coming weekend, and for wearing the orange everyone would think you are a tennessee fan.

Nobody with any kind of sense would want to be associated with the alamabama eggplants or the chicken chokers of auburn after saturdays games.
